The Team
Gina Miller Founder & Chairman
-
Having grown up in Guyana, South America, Gina has seen the
negative environmental impact of modern living as well as the
heart breaking effects of extreme poverty in third world rural
communities. The drying up of tributaries, mass felling of
rainforest, flooding of huge areas for hydro-electric projects
and compulsory migration of indigenous people.
-
In the UK, Gina has undertaken many voluntary projects
since university.
-
Along with her husband Alan, she founded a 'home from home'
children's nursery in 2007 catering for children from 3 months
14 years.
-
The couple have also been major contributors to the Lady
Thatcher infirmary at the Royal Hospital Chelsea and many
other charities and projects in the UK.
-
Gina's stance is simple her family is hugely blessed due to
her and Alan's business success and her fortunate upbringing.
This means they can enjoy the amazing heart-warming feeling of
helping others and knowing that her work will be carried on
by her children.
Alan Miller Trustee
-
Alan is a trustee but not involved in the day-to-day
running of the foundation.
-
His experience assessing company accounts and financial
statements will hugely assist in assessing financial statements
and accounts from grant applicants.
-
Alan is a non-executive director of two university spin outs
that are seeking to develop drugs and techniques that will help
mankind. Pharminox Ltd - an emerging UK company focused
on the discovery and development of novel small molecule
drugs for the treatment of cancer; and Tissue Regenix Ltd
dedicated to the development of clinical solutions to address
the chronic shortfalls in donor tissue availability in areas such
as Vascular and Orthopaedic medicine.
-
His family have long been involved in charity work and his
aunt Esther Ranzen has been a shining example.
-
He has completed the New York marathon three times
and the London marathon twice all for charitable causes.
